Shamatha means “peaceful abiding” or “tranquility.” Shamatha is an important introductory practice in Buddhism that leads to the practice of vipashyana, or insight. The purpose of shamatha meditation is to stabilize the mind by cultivating a steady awareness and to establish an anchor for meditation.

What is Feeding Your Demons?
A ‘demon’ refers to the disruptive aspects of our own psyche, such as anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, or disease. Demons are often relegated to the dark recesses of our minds and fester there as we either repress- or ‘fight’ against them. This adversarial relationship with our demons is the very thing that polarizes our psyche. In our attempts to overcome our ‘shadow’, we become more enmeshed with it and our demons gain strength.
This practice is accessible to all and teaches us how to befriend that which scares us the most.
“By feeding our demons we move the energy in a more conscious way than we can by just expressing our emotions.”
—Lama Tsultrim Allione
Feeding Your Demons is a five step method created by Lama Tsultrim Allione which has benefited thousands worldwide and from every walk of life on five continents. The work transcends spiritual constructs, serving as a meaningful tool for anybody, regardless of religious affiliation or personal philosophy.

Offering Dana
Dana is the practice of generosity and the essence of the path to freedom-the first crack of light in our ego protected lives. Moments of generosity open our hearts and minds and alleviates fear that we don't have enough, and allows us to relax our clinging.
